“ We understand why this place is such a staple. 10 stars for service. Having had steaks from a number of great establishments, the steaks were good but not quite the top tier dry age quality you can get at other high end steak houses but still absolutely delicious. The salad bar was also a great experience we didn’t expect. We would definitely come back and recommend to others. From what we had, the Ribeye was superior to the New York Strip. ”
“ It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. The salad bar was so great! Many options and the cheese bread was heavenly. I didn’t love the child at the table right next to us watching a blaring show from his phone...took away from the ambience of what I was hoping to be a nice date with my husband, however, the incredible service from Viri and delicious food overshadowed that annoyance. ”
“ Went yesterday for my friend’s birthday and WOW!! Perrfect service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Preston was a perfect server and we never had to ask for anything. I ordered the 6oz filet (which I got to hand pick) with Au Gratin in potatoes and salad bar. She ordered the pecan crusted chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes and salad bar. The salad bar alone is amazing and enough to fill up on with 3 types of bread to choose from and massive blocks of cheese to cut from. Our food came out just as we finished our salads (perfect timing) and good Lord it was heavenly. My steak came out on a cast iron cow (named her Betsy) and was sizzling perfection wrapped in bacon and topped with a garlic butter. After we finished quite literally the best meal of our life, we were given a complimentary dessert (key lime pie) for her birthday and they took our photo and printed it out all for her birthday! Truly the best restaurant meal I’ve ever had! ”
“ Amazing place for a Texas steak dinner, especially kid friendly. The decor is so Texas. There is a very good salad bar. They let you pick out your cuts of meat! Our waitress Natasha T went above and beyond! She went out of her way to take pictures for us and make sure we had a wonderful dinner. The food is also very good. They have an exclusive blue bell flavor just for this restaurant: cinnamon. Definitely recommend; you really should check it out!!!! ”
“ Wow, what an incredibly nice experience at the Taste of Texas! The restaurant is large, with multiple dining rooms. The furniture style is characteristic of the place, and I liked it a lot. While awaiting your table, you can spend time drinking at their internal pub, or at their shop purchasing typical Taste of Texas-branded items, as I did! Finally, the restaurant service was very good, from the receptionists to the lady who served our table—I can't recall her name, but she was very kind and smiling all the time. Last but not least, the meat was fabulous and cooked perfectly to the degree we requested. The best I've ever had, including at my favorite restaurant in Florence! And, if you order "The Full Experience," the meat does not come alone, and you even get to choose the exact piece of meat they will cook for you. Awesome! I will be back, for sure. ”

“ I will admit - I saw the prices and was not sure how I felt. I remember thinking: what exactly does a 60 steak taste like? Well let me tell you that it’s AMAZING!!! The price was definitely high, but honestly everything I tasted was incredible from the Ribeye to the Potatos Au Gratin. I normally don’t like eating steak outside of my house but Taste of Texas definitely was incredible. I told all of my friends that this was the BEST STEAK I had ever had! You must eat here!!! ”
“ This was my first time visiting Taste of Texas. The environment was fantastic. The walls were full of beautiful pictures and fun decor. Our waiter was named Saul. He was not only very attentive but extremely nice! He was very helpful explaining the menu. He even took us on a little tour and helped us pick our own steak. I’m also sadly in a sling right now, he cut my steak for me! This place goes above and beyond not only in the food but the guest service as well. I will be returning it was a fantastic experience. ”
